I am a huge fan of the AB5200. After using a ton of different flat and adjustable benches over the years this one takes the care for the build quality, value and price even compared to benches almost twice its price. I am 6'1" and I can fit completely on the top pad which is great because it make the gap a non-issue. The pad material is firm yet grippy and has just the right amount of give. My primary training goals revolve around powerlifting and this bench supports those efforts perfectly. Some will say the bench is too heavy but that has never been a problem for me. Lately, there has been a trend to make benches into ecosystems that connect to lots of attachments. While I can see problem it solves for some home gym owners, I haven't felt tempted one bit to move on from my AB5200.

This feels like it is one of those "essential" home gym products. I keep mine directly above the center of my rack and use it to hold my primary barbell and my SSB. It does a great job with both and it makes it super easy to get setup and cleanup done for the day. Tons of options exist to customize the colors so it looks good with your rack. Plus, you get the added bonus of supporting a small creator in the space. Get one today!

I added one of these to my gym when I found a good deal on a "like new" used bar. The build quality is excellent and so far the bare steel seems to be holding up well in the varying temperatures of my garage. After extensive amounts of time using Texas Power Bars, the knurling on the OPB feels a bit passive in comparison but it is still a good knurl. The Texas bar would be my preference but I couldn't blame anyone for picking up one of these especially when the retail is under $300.

This has been my daily driver for over a year and I've loved every session with it. A classic design that has been refined to address modern trends in power bars. The knurling is aggressive compared to almost every other bar on the market. Since I'm the only person that uses the bar it looks as good as the day I got it. TPB frequently runs sales so watch out and you can probably save a little cash.

This is my favorite specialty bar. Performance wise it is everything you need from an SSB. The biggest downsides are the sleeves and the price. The sleeves are not the standard barbell diameter so there is a good chance your current barbell collars will not hold the weight plates on. The sleeves also have either a black powder coat or clear coat finish that will chip and flake until its mostly gone. The price is high but they frequently go on sale and you can usually stack a discount code on top to get it down even further which brings it in range of many of the other options. Pro Tip - get a Darko Anchor for easy overhead storage in your rack.

Probably the single most important thing a home gym owner can do to signal their superior status in the home gym community. There are multiple instances of us touring gyms and become friends with the owners just because we were able to discover them though this banner. What are you waiting for?!?
