This is the gold standard of SSB’s USA made and built like a tank with the best pad on the market. Don’t waste your money on imported bars that weigh goofy weights and make plate math weird.
Purchased new in 2018

This was my favorite SSB till Rep came out with theirs. The angles an pad on this will feel great for anyone. They often have sales on this so just wait for one of those before you buy. The titan bar is a copy cat of this. I am not big on supporting something that on the nose of a copy, but to each their own.

The greatest specialty bar of all time. It can be used for more exercises than just SSB squats. You can use it for front squats, JM presses etc. there is a video on their YouTube covering all the popular ways to mix it in. Be aware that the pad ships in a separate box

This was the first specialty bar I got for my gym back in late 2021. It has helped me immensely with being able to do squats (my shoulder mobility is terrible these days). The pad is excellent and has held up well. The build quality is very high. If something ever happened to my current bar, I would definitely buy this again.

Just as the late, great Toby Keith said, “I love this bar.” I don’t currently have this in my gym but have used it and understand why half of the equipment companies decided to just straight copy it. I have a Titan clone in my gym. Looking back I would have for sure purchased the original. Similar feel much better quality than the clones

The gold standard of SSB’s. Great price especially when you watch for sales. Only ding would be the coating that scrapes and wears off but that is purely cosmetic

The GOAT specialty bar, which has arguably been surpassed by competitors' updated SSBs. The JD Gym Equipped handles add a nice touch and grip.

This is my favorite specialty bar. Performance wise it is everything you need from an SSB. The biggest downsides are the sleeves and the price. The sleeves are not the standard barbell diameter so there is a good chance your current barbell collars will not hold the weight plates on. The sleeves also have either a black powder coat or clear coat finish that will chip and flake until its mostly gone. The price is high but they frequently go on sale and you can usually stack a discount code on top to get it down even further which brings it in range of many of the other options. Pro Tip - get a Darko Anchor for easy overhead storage in your rack.

This was the best SSB on the market for awhile. Had the best angles and the best pad. It did have some faults however, mainly being the smaller diameter sleeves which needed special collars, the clear powder coat which flaked off immediately with use, and the higher base cost plus high shipping fees. Even though they've fixed some of these issues, there are a lot of alternatives on the market which are lower priced and have nicer finishes.

My favorite SSB bar I ever used, can’t beat the original!
