Works great as a fast and secure Ancore mount on a 3x3 rack… and it comes complete with a shim for metric 3x3’s. Looks beautiful as well.

The Mammoth belt squat has been a great addition for squats. Yes it’s on an arc but I have found it to work just fine if you don’t mount it too high. I prefer knee height as it provides the shortest arc. I only use the single post and don’t have an issue with leg clearance, but I use inexpensive iron plates that have a smaller diameter. So the plates can stack deeper and don’t get in my way. I think this is a great low cost option for saving your back. Use the full length to get the most resistance out of it (physics class wasn’t a total waste) and give your back a rest. And even with the kickstand it tucks out of my way just laying it along the side of my rack.

It works better than expected for what cost me $150 at the time. Fairly smooth movement but I did lubricate the post. Downsides can be big as the height definitely is a negative. I don’t even have the seat pin in as it allows me to drop the seat all the way down. At 5’8” and not using any chain, just carabiner, I can get full stretch. Keeping in mind this thing was inexpensive, the pulleys are cheap plastic but they do work fine. They are not held in place with any sort of tight tolerance and in use have a nice little wobble but you don’t notice it. The foot plate is… well… there. It would be much better if it wasn’t braced with just the ends of a small little bar. You very much feel the plate flex so I try to brace more with the heel and not the toes in any way. The biggest annoyance is the leg brace. I could deal with it if it were longer/wider and held the pads in place. As it is, it’s very narrow and every time I get up I drag the pad/s off the post a little. So I’m always pushing them back on all the way. Would I recommend it, if price is a concern and you aren’t over 5’8” or so, I’d say give it a go if you get a killer deal on it. I’ve considered upgrading to a better built and taller unit but it gets the job done fine. Now if you are the type to load the heck out of a lat machine then I definitely would go with something far more sturdy.

Perspective is everything and it’s no different with BOS open trap bar. Keep in mind I snagged mine as an open box scratch and dent price but it is okay if space is tight. This is not top level but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t get the job done well enough. The length is its greatest strength. It’s more compact so storing isn’t as bad but that comes at the cost of load capacity. My biggest gripe is more on the support or diamond design of the frame. I’d prefer if the supports went straight down vs inward in the diamond shape. It just constricts the opening that much more. Overall it works fine and if you can get it at a steal or have limited space… it’ll be just fine for getting strong unless you thing you are Brian Shaw.

Demon in disguise. If you have limited space and budget but really want to make your hamstrings hate you… get this. I will say that I have the option of connecting it to a cable machine and holy crap does that make a difference but all you have to do is grab a resistance band to unleash its hate for you. All around a fantastic option for ab rollouts and hamstring curls if you lift your booty off the ground.
