Really fun grip training tools if you have the space and money. Most of mine are from a cheap set of York legacy dumbbells that I cut myself. The true blobs come from pre-USA roundhead dumbbells and are unfortunately quite pricey unless you get a bit lucky on a dumbbell and cut it yourself.

I have the York legacy half 80's and 90's. These blobs are easier than the original blobs or other generations. They still allow for good blob training.

I have a mix of gen 1 and 2 blobs. All number side. A couple that had been painted. I love blobs as a training tool and also as something fun to do with friends in the gym. I highly recommend people start building out their collection. Starting with half a 50,60,and 70 will be a good start for most people. I tend to recommend gen 2 over 1 since the weight is slightly more accurate on average. The legacy version is very different. Not bad, just different. My general recommendation is go traditional first since that’s more in line with the history.
Current collection includes half of a: 10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80,and 90.
