The full KB stand is for sure better, but I have taken the shelfs and mounted them to the wall with some wood. I put my blobs on these and it works great. If you want to wall mount these send me a DM because it was a bit of an involved DIY project. The shelves themselves are great and I have no worry about them holding the weight. They are a great size to hold several blobs (and I assume KBs).
