Power Block Sport Exp
This is a discontinued version. The expandable model PBSPSET2 starts at 22.7 kg (5-50) and then allows you to expand with a 9 kg (20 lb) set. The Stage 2 set increases the weight from 22.7 kg (50 pounds) to 31.7 kg (70 pounds), while a Stage 3 set increases the weight from 31.7 kg (70 pounds) to 40.8 kg (90 pounds). This is a great option for anyone who wants their set to grow with them.

The second set of adjustable dumbbells I’ve owned. Previously I owned the Bowflex 552. I bought the 90 lb Powerblock set from Woot for $430. They are compact, heavy, switch weights quickly, and resist drop damage. The only two downsides are about the adder weights. First downside - no way to make a “x2.5” weight (12.5, 22.5, etc). Second downside - the adders are off center so the weight will feel uneven sometimes, and the adders can clunk a bit. These gripes mostly apply to isolation / bodybuilding type movements - for push and pull type movements it is less noticable. Overall a very good value, and since my training isn’t dumbbell heavy I’m pretty satisfied with them.
