This was the gold standard before I knew the difference between 28.5mm and 29mm. Back when we used to be a proper country. In all seriousness, any bar from Texas line up will serve you well and will feel premium.

This is a great bar. The knurling is still unmatched as far as feel goes from any other company. The 28.5 mm is a good option and as far as still bars go I love doing deadlifts with the original TPB. For everything else I still prefer the new 29mm TPB, but this is a great bar. I still use this often when I lift at work.

Great bar. Even though the difference is slight I do prefer the 29mm version. Thicker is better.

No notes. Daily driver and is amazing for the price.

This is my go to bar and I love it. I have the black cerakote and even after 5+ years of use, I see very little wear. Obviously I am in a private gym but it has definitely held up. The knurling is aggressive and the black really pops with the chrome sleeves. Worth the price.

What can I say besides it’s strong as a house with the best knurling. I have a green cerakote 28.5mm and it’s my go to powerbar. The knurling is still strong with the cerakote but doesn’t kill your hands after heavy use.

The OG 28.5 mm TPB
I have owned one for many years and it’s just hard to beat if you only want to own one bar you do the big 3. Pairs well with the wider 49” rogue rack if you have a dirty walkout with the extra clearance with the fat collars.
Currently own one in orange cerekote with chrome sleeves but previously owned the black oxide with bare sleeves. The orange one I have is as sharp and any Texas bar I have used but in general I do find Their Knurl sharpness to be inconsistent bar to bar.
Owned one since 2017

This is def a classic. Forged in the depths of Mordor by Buddy Caps himself, one bar to rule them all! However one thing about classics is that as newer things come out, they tend to not be as appealing to the newer generation. While this bar is great, the thicker collars and 28.5mm diameter tend to produce more whip under heavy load, which is not ideal for my training style. Still a great addition to any gym.

The 28.5 TPB is still a personal favorite of mine, but knocking down just one star off performance, because that diameter is an issue for some. Great price and will last a lifetime.
