Ghost Roller J-Cup
We have partnered with the team at Ghost Strong to develop this exclusive Rogue-manufactured version of the Return Roller J-Cup 2.0. Our design keeps all the key features of Tim Grissel’s innovative original, including the patented conical rollers and multi-radius concave receiver that ensure each barbell returns to the front of the J-cup in an optimal position for the next lift. The only changes involve practical production upgrades in two different formats: Standard and Premium.

My wife and I love these roller j-cups. I got them from Rogue but have a Rep rack but Rogue gave me a shim kit that made these fit well on my rack. Having the rollers now seems like a necessity as it makes it so nice to just easily center the bar before lifting.

If you buy these, do yourself a favor: reach out to Rogue for the shim kit (unlisted item). I’ve not tried the newer competitors, but these are my favorite in comparison to others I’ve owned (Irwin and Titan). I prefer the return rollers these offer, but that also means you may need more than one pair unless you want to switch roller orientation. Pic shows the options for roller orientation or camber blocks.

Return rollers are annoying. Some people flip them around to not deal with that...One of mine is much looser than the other one on the rack. Mine came with the rack but buying them new the price is to high. If you want rollers and are not in a rush it makes no sense NOT to go with Bremmy.

A decade ago these were the cream of the crop. However over the years we have a lot more options when it comes to rollers. The newer entries tend to have better tolerances when fitting in a rack (as well as options to secure them with pins) and more UHMW protection. Personally I never liked the return roller feature and prefer a flat roller in all instances.

I am a big fan of the quality of equipment that Ghost came out with. I am sad they are gone, but happy that Rogue keeps a few things in production. These work great and make it setting the bar so much easier. I will say that after seeing them, I do prefer the Bremmy rollers, but these are still a solid alternative. I also have the camber bar replacement cup so the plan is for these to become camber bar j cups once I have the Bremmy rollers. The camber bar cup replacement takes a couple minutes to change out. I have done it, but would recommend it as a regular practice. They do help keep a camber bar positioned correctly to stop that tipping or flipping effect that sometimes occurs if you are not careful.
